New leadership
Sunday, November 25th, 2007. Posted in General | No Comments »Aww, poor John Howard. He was defeated in the 2007 federal election. He even lost his own seat. Oh well, it’s politics; it’s tough. Howard has done extremely well in managing and strengthening the economy. Howard could have won the election, but unfortunately all those years when he was in power, he lost touch with families and citizens too. Maybe Australia wanted to “pay back” Howard for what he had done to them? The introduction of the I.R. laws, work rights taken away, broken promises etc. I know he was strengthening the economy, but he should have also considered the impacts of his policies.
All the best for the Australian Labor Party. Just don’t stuff up like you need years ago…and don’t be too soft, too. You can’t have a government that is too strict and you can’t have a government that is too soft. I hope Labor will toughen up a bit. I hope Kevin Rudd will pick the right people (ministers) for his government. I’m looking forward to all these new “fresh ideas”.
By the way, I didn’t vote either for the Liberal or Labor party

I learnt something new at university
Friday, November 16th, 2007. Posted in General | No Comments »I learnt something new at university this year. During the examination period, students usually study hard for their exams. The problem with this is that the more they learn, the more ‘clogged’ up their brain will be. I haven’t really studied hard for my exams and I’m ‘zooming’ them through. I’ve also learnt to learn what the lecturers tell you what they expect you to learn. The main point is: don’t study too much
. Well, this applies to first year university students (at UniSA) and perhaps each programme has their own way of whatever. I’m heading off to bed. I’m too tired to contruct my sentences and explains things clearly.
